Jade Education

At YUHE Studio, we believe jade should be understood before it is worn.

This page exists to explain jade without exaggeration, so you can make informed decisions with confidence—whether you are new to jade or have worn it for years.

What Is Jade?

The word jade refers to two different minerals:

  • Jadeite

  • Nephrite

At YUHE Studio, we work exclusively with jadeite, the rarer and more valuable of the two.

Jadeite is prized for:

  • Rich natural color

  • Fine crystal structure

  • Translucency

When people refer to high-value jade, they are almost always referring to jadeite.

What Does “Type A Jade” Mean?

Jadeite is commonly classified into types based on treatment:

Type A — Natural Jadeite

  • Untreated

  • No dye

  • No resin or polymer filling

  • Polished only

This is true natural jadeite.

All jade sold by YUHE Studio is Type A only.

Type B — Chemically Treated Jade

  • Bleached with acid

  • Filled with resin

  • Often looks bright at first

  • Loses stability over time

Not accepted at YUHE Studio.

Type C — Dyed Jade

  • Artificial color added

  • Color may fade

  • Often used to imitate higher-grade jade

Not accepted at YUHE Studio.

Type B + C

  • Both bleached and dyed

  • Lowest integrity

Never accepted.

Certificates & Verification

All of our pieces come with certificates from recognized gemological laboratories.

Our Authenticity Guarantee

Every jade piece offered by YUHE Studio is sold with confidence.

If any jade purchased from us is proven by an independent, qualified gemological authority not to be natural Type A jadeite, we will refund ten times (10×) the purchase price.

This promise exists because we are selective—and because trust matters.

Jade, Culture, and Modern Life

For centuries, jade has symbolized:

  • Protection

  • Balance

  • Moral integrity

  • Harmony with nature

Today, jade is no longer limited to ceremonial use.

At YUHE Studio, we design and curate jade for modern daily life:

  • Minimal forms

  • Clean lines

  • Subtle presence

  • Meaning without excess

We believe tradition should live with us, not behind glass.

A Note on Natural Variation

Natural jadeite is never identical.

Small differences in:

  • Color

  • Translucency

  • Internal texture

are not flaws. They are signs of authenticity.

Perfection belongs to machines.
Character belongs to nature.

Learn Slowly, Choose Thoughtfully

Jade rewards patience.

We encourage you to:

  • Ask questions

  • Compare pieces

  • Take your time

If you ever want a closer look, we are happy to provide additional photos or live video inspection.

Explore with Confidence

Education is not meant to overwhelm—it is meant to empower.

YUHE Studio exists to make jade clearer, calmer, and more honest for a modern audience.
